Dekalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston Endorses Dr. Everton Blair for Congress
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – The Everton Blair for Congress campaign today announced the endorsement of DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston, one of Georgia’s most respected prosecutors and a nationally recognized leader on criminal justice reform. Boston’s endorsement adds significant momentum to Blair’s bid to represent Georgia’s 13th Congressional District, which encompasses a substantial portion of DeKalb County.
“As DeKalb County’s District Attorney, I’ve seen first-hand what real leadership looks like, and Everton Blair has it. I’ve worked alongside him for years. He’s not one to brag or boast, but he is so effective at getting things done and staying grounded in the communities he serves,” said DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston. Without question or hesitation, Everton is the strongest candidate in this race. Georgia’s 13th District doesn’t need a placeholder; it needs and deserves a leader. Everton doesn’t just talk about the people; he fights for them. Every single day. That is exactly the kind of champion Washington needs, and I am proud to stand with him and proud to support his candidacy for U.S. Congress.”
Blair welcomed the endorsement and thanked Boston for her partnership and leadership.
“DA Sherry Boston is a trailblazer, a reformer, and one of the finest public servants Georgia has ever produced,” said Everton Blair. “Her endorsement means the world to me, not just because of what it signals to voters, but because I have worked with her, learned from her, and watched her deliver real results for DeKalb families. This is a district that deserves a member of Congress who shows up, who listens, and who fights. I am humbled to earn DA Boston’s confidence, and I intend to honor it every single day of this campaign and every single day I serve.”
Boston’s endorsement is the latest in a growing coalition of elected officials, community leaders, and advocates who have rallied behind Blair’s campaign. The campaign has emphasized Blair’s record on education, economic opportunity, and public safety as central pillars of his case to voters.
The Democratic primary for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District is May 19, 2026.
