Housing

Georgia's 13th is experiencing a serious housing crisis. Predatory investors are buying up affordable homes across Metro Atlanta, inflating rents, and pushing working- and middle-class families out of the communities they built.

You deserve a home you can afford. In Congress, I'll fight to crack down on predatory lending, make it easier for first-time homebuyers to buy and keep homes, and support renter protections and enforcement against housing discrimination.

  • Invest in Affordable Housing: Restore the $327 billion housing package (originally part of the Build Back Better Act) for down payment assistance and the Affordable Housing Trust Fund.

  • Crack Down on Corporate Landlords: Pass federal rules to crack down on predatory investors who are buying up affordable homes across Metro Atlanta.

  • Make renting stable, fair, and affordable: Support protections like caps on excessive rent hikes and enforcement against housing discrimination.
