Economy

While corporations and billionaires hoard profits, we are working harder, paying more, and making less. This is not an accident. This is the result of politicians and policies that put profit over people.

I will fight for a people-first economic agenda that puts money in the pockets of regular people, and puts an end to the loopholes that allow greedy corporations to pick our pockets. This means taking on the affordability crisis by investing in people coupled WITH strengthened regulatory protections that stop greedy actors from exploiting vulnerable communities.

  • Invest in Medicare for All, universal childcare, quality public education, affordable housing, and the human infrastructure needed for all people to live their lives with dignity.

  • Increase the federal minimum wage to a true living wage.

  • Make the Ultra Wealthy Pay Their Fair Share: Support the Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act, levying a 2% annual tax on households with a net worth over $50 million.

  • Invest in Small Business & Minority Entrepreneurship: Expand access to capital and low-interest loans for small businesses and prioritize federal grants for minority-owned businesses.

  • Stop Wall Street Looting: Close the loopholes that allow private equity and hedge fund managers to skirt regulation.

  • Hold Big Tech Accountable: Require data centers to fund their own infrastructure and energy upgrades to prevent our utility bills from skyrocketing.

  • Workforce Innovation and Equity: Advance policies that prepare workers for an economy shaped by artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and emerging technology. Support retraining programs for workers displaced by automation and new infrastructure projects that create long-term employment in clean energy and construction.
