For the Third Quarter in a Row Everton Blair Outpaces the Entire GA-13 Field in Contributions

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Everton Blair for Congress campaign today announced commanding fourth-quarter fundraising results, raising $120,943.12 in Q4 and reporting $463,087.28 in total cycle contributions, out-raising every candidate in this race and leading the entire field in contributions for the cycle. Since the close of the quarter, the campaign has accelerated even further, pushing cycle-to-date fundraising past $500,000. Our momentum is real, not manufactured. We’re powered by a broad base of real people ready for change, not special interests or self-funded loans. We are not trying to buy this election with personal wealth. We are building a winning operation with a true base of support.

“This is what it looks like when everyday people, not special interests, decide they are done waiting for change. We know that we will not defeat this authoritarian regime without stronger Democratic leaders in Congress. Time is up,” said Dr. Everton Blair, candidate for Congress in Georgia’s 13th District. “This campaign is about building power right here at home, reminding people that stronger representation is possible if we fight for it. Our country is falling apart and we are not waiting for permission to lead. Change can’t wait.”

The campaign noted that its spending reflects a deliberate early strategy: investing and organizing early, talking to voters now, and entering May with a campaign built to win.

“We are spending early because we are building something real,” Blair added. “A real field program. Real voter contact. Real communications. We are not leaving May up to chance, and we are not waiting for outside money to define this race. We are going to meet voters where they are, earn their trust, and win.”

Campaign Manager Bianca Keaton added, “This is an early investment in victory. We are working daily to expand our organizing capacity across the district so we can knock doors, communicate consistently, and keep growing through Election Day.”

Building a Winning Operation

The campaign’s early investments include:

  • Expanding voter contact across the district through door-to-door outreach, phone calls, and community-based voter engagement

  • Scaling and organizing our volunteer infrastructure to turn existing support into action and build durable power across GA-13

  • Strengthening communications and digital outreach so voters hear directly from Everton, not outside spenders

About Everton Blair

Dr. Everton Blair Jr. is a lifelong resident of Georgia’s 13th Congressional District, born and raised in Gwinnett County to Jamaican immigrants. A former high school math teacher, he built his career as an educator and made history in 2018 as the first Black member and the youngest-ever member elected to the Gwinnett County Board of Education. Blair is running for Congress in Georgia’s 13th District to deliver people-powered leadership that puts working families ahead of corporate donors and political insiders. A community-first leader and organizer, he’s focused on lowering costs, protecting healthcare, defending civil rights, and building an economy that works for everyone, not just the well-connected. Blair supports Medicare for All and replacing ICE with an immigration system rooted in dignity, due process, and accountability. He has also been outspoken against Super PACs designed to drown out everyday people. If elected, Blair would become the first openly gay member of Congress from Georgia.

About Georgia’s 13th Congressional District

In a dramatic redistricting shift in 2023, Georgia’s 13th Congressional District moved north and east, picking up portions of Gwinnett, Rockdale, Newton, and DeKalb counties while maintaining swaths of Clayton and Henry counties. Major cities include: Stockbridge, Jonesboro, Conyers, Covington, Lilburn, Grayson, Lawrenceville, and Snellville. The district remains a Democratic stronghold with a heavily Black populace and voting base. Fast-growing counties like Gwinnett and Rockdale are places where Everton Blair has lived, served, and won.
